They work in the UK and around the world to provide life-changing opportunities through cricket and to ensure that it can be a game for all. MCCF serves thousands of beneficiaries each year from some of the most deprived communities in the UK, Lebanon, South and East Africa, Nepal and Sri Lanka, helping them to fulfil their potential through cricket and spreading the game globally.
Fundraising at MCCF is predominantly linked to high value sources. As such, we’re seeking a skilled major gifts fundraiser who can support them in growing and diversifying their income portfolio, enabling the organisation to do more across the globe and via their hubs.
As Development Director you will work closely with the Chief Executive, Chair and Trustees to maximise network opportunities. The role will combine fundraising from new sources while ensuring exceptional stewardship of existing supporters, putting donor relationships at the heart of the fundraising strategy to ensure long term, committed support.
2023 marks the Foundation’s 30th Anniversary Year, with lots of exciting activities underway and in the planning: new projects are being launched, their Patron, Stephen Fry, is settling into his new role as MCC President, and they are seeing a significant increase in diversity across their booming number of global beneficiaries.
The broad and varied nature of MCCF’s work means that they need to increase funding and diversify the income portfolio to realise their ambitions. Total income for last year was c.£1.15m (sources include HNWIs, regular givers, trusts, foundations, events and legacies).
