The British Asian Trust focus on key areas such as education, livelihoods, mental health, and combating child trafficking. They collaborate with local partners in South Asia to implement programmes and initiatives that combine new social finance tools, philanthropy and technology to bring about positive and lasting change in the lives of disadvantaged individuals and communities.
The British Asian Trust believes that traditional approaches to development and philanthropy won’t solve the critical problems they are looking to address. Intelligent programme funding is a core area of investment that is already performing well and has great potential for growth. In recent years, the Trust have achieved significant growth, increasing income from £1m to £20m+ since 2016. This has included a number of significant multi-year, multi-million-pound partnerships than enable them to deliver large-scale and impactful programmes.
The Head of Fundraising Operations is a newly established role for the charity and will enable fundraising operations to keep pace with the growth in income, futureproofing systems to ensure effective co-ordination and organisation to underpin fundraising activity. The role will design and implement a range of systems/processes, maximising the capabilities of their database (Salesforce) and creating best practice in ways of working, processes and reporting. By working closely with internal teams, you will ensure external-facing fundraisers are supported to achieve their income targets and able to put stewardship at the heart of their donor relationships.
