Appointed Grants Fundraising Manager

UK100’s primary purpose is to support a local-led rapid transition to Net Zero and Clean Air. To accelerate action, they bring together the most influential leaders across the country to learn together and agree on priorities for legislative and regulatory change while empowering them to engage with national decision-makers. They provide their network with the knowledge, tools and connections to make this happen.

We are supporting UK100 in their search for an ambitious and passionate part-time Grants Fundraising Manager to lead on managing their relationships with significant grant funders and drive impactful new business opportunities for the charity. This is a pivotal role within the organisation and will give you the opportunity to work on 6 and 7-figure partnerships with funders such as Quadrature Climate Foundation and Ikea Foundation.

They are a small, ambitious team who have been hugely successful over the last few years, now bringing in over £1m annually. The postholder will work closely with senior stakeholders including the CEO and Chief Operating Officer to develop compelling funding proposals that engage warm and cold funders to become long-term partners.

About the role

As Grants Fundraising Manager you will:

  • Lead, manage and develop a strong grant fund pipeline that secures ongoing financial stability for UK100
  • Pro-actively seek additional opportunities from other strategic funders, writing strong bids and proposals to secure funding at the 6 and 7-figure level
  • Identify and build a pipeline of prospects
  • Deliver inspiring and meaningful engagement plans and reports to build long-term relationships

About you

This role would best suit someone with:

  • Considerable experience of managing relationships with more complex trusts and foundations with a track record of securing significant gifts
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and work collaboratively, and confidence to engage with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written skills to produce high quality proposals and reports
  • Knowledge and interest in the climate emergency
