Appointed Special Events Manager

Lord's Taverners

£38,000 - £40,000

About the organisation/role

The Lord’s Taverners exists to positively impact the lives of young people facing the challenges of inequality. They work across the UK to provide inclusive and impactful cricket programmes, empowering young people with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities to develop knowledge, skills, capabilities and confidence.

We are seeking an experienced events professional who will lead on a portfolio of exciting events ranging from fundraising lunches to music concerts, to intimate stewardship dinners and drink receptions. You will play a lead role in the development of the portfolio so if you are creative and keen to test and learn new event ideas, then this is the role for you! The team are seeking to diversify their event offering to enable them to reach new audiences and align with the organisation’s wider ambitions to be insight-driven and focused on being led by the needs of the young people they support. There are lots of opportunities for you to personally see the charity’s work first-hand as they actively encourage their staff to visit the transformative programmes they deliver.

This is a really exciting time to join the charity as they embark on delivering a reenergised programme of events. There is a huge amount of scope for you to lead on already hugely successful existing events as well as influence the format and content of new ones. Lord’s Taverners are also starting to plan for their 75th anniversary in a few years’ time which will be an important moment for the charity and a piece of work the Major Donor and Special Events team will be heavily involved in.
