The Corporate Partnerships Team at Shelter is one of the UK’s most impressive fundraising teams. They have developed partnerships which have directly led to more affordable housing, changed policies and generated millions in fundraised income.
They are split into New Business and Account Management, with this role sitting in a leadership role within Account Management.
This position will lead on two key partnerships in the Shelter portfolio: IKEA and Society Generale.
IKEA launched their 8-year partnership with Shelter last October and are already making headlines.
Managing this partnership will include project management of various media and comms agencies, creating consumer-facing immersive experiences, delivering CRM activations, and overseeing employee engagement (with actual fundraising activity delivered by the Community Fundraising team).
Society Generale fund the ‘Grow Trainees’ programme at Shelter. With this being the final year of the partnership, they are looking to create as much impact as possible.
The position manages a Corporate Partnerships Executive who helps on these partnerships.
About the role
As Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will:
- Project manage the governance of a large, complex partnership with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify key senior contacts within your partnerships and drive stakeholder engagement plans, leveraging internal relationships where needed to increase partner commitment at all levels of the organisation
- Develop peer relationships with managers of other Shelter divisions (including Digital and Creative, Retail, Events, Communications, Policy, Campaigns and Services) to maximise opportunities for income generation.
- Ensure line reports (1 x Corporate Partnerships Executive) are supported and focused on meeting the agreed income targets and driving growth within their portfolio
About you
Ideal skills and experience:
- Extensive account management experience in the charity sector, at a 6-fig+ level
- Experience managing complex partnerships, ideally with a marketing or consumer-facing element
- A strong understanding of commercial and financial principles and experience applying them to improve partner performance
- The ability to manage complex projects cross-organisationally
