Shelter has a mature fundraising program that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £35m gross income, of which a high percentage is unrestricted, giving Shelter an exceptional level of investment flexibility. High Value Partnerships covers Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, Legacies and Corporate fundraising, with the Corporate Partnerships team split between New Partnerships and Partnership Management. Led by the Head of Partnership Management, the Partnership Management team is responsible for managing and developing long term corporate partnerships, contributing to the growth of Shelter’s voluntary income.

The Corporate Partnerships Team at Shelter is one of the UK’s most impressive fundraising teams. They have developed partnerships which have directly led to more affordable housing, changed policies and generated millions in fundraised income.

They are split into New Business and Account Management, with this role sitting within Account Management.

This position will lead on a portfolio of accounts, including a new multi-faceted partnership worth 6-figures pa. They have various commercial activations including a children’s book CRM, various radio and TV ads; and are doing some employee fundraising.

There will also be a range of other partnerships which could include a new financial partnership just won (£135k/yr); a longstanding commercial partnership with a big Christmas activation; a financial partnership worth £160k/yr.

About you

Ideal skills and experience: 

  • Experience in account management in the charity or a related sector, at a 5-fig+ level
  • The ability to build internal and external relationships, and lead complex projects
  • Experience in managing different types of partnerships – across two or more of COTY, project funding, strategic and commercial
