Trusts and Foundations is the biggest and most stable income stream at the Lord Taverners, due to their longevity in fundraising in this area, excellent pipeline development, and hugely fundable programmes.

We are looking for a new Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager to join the newly created Corporate, Trusts and Foundations team to lead on trusts and foundations activity.

Corporate, Trusts and Foundations bring in around £2.5-£3M each year, with trust and foundations being the largest and most stable, with still more growth opportunities.

Key funders include the England and Wales Cricket Board, People’s Postcode Lottery, Garfield Weston and City Bridge Trust. Key funding opportunities are for Wicketz (focusing on areas with high deprivation) and Super 1s (focusing on young people with a disability).

About the role

As Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will:

  • Influence the development and implementation of the trusts and foundations strategy, including significant growth plans
  • Develop proposals for complex trust/foundation funding applications, ideally focusing on £50k+ opportunities
  • Initiate, develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders of trusts and foundations, acting as their key contact within the Taverners, including providing timely reports on our use of grants allocated
  • Manage a portfolio of existing supporters developing or maintaining long-term giving
  • Manage the income and expenditure administration of grants, with relevant project leaders, to ensure compliance with grant terms and conditions

About you

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Specialist knowledge and experience in securing income from trusts and foundations, ideally at a £50k+ level
  • Proven track record of prospect research, identifying funding opportunities
  • Subject matter expert on managing a pipeline of multiple prospects, keeping abreast of their stages of progression and next action
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines and do so autonomously
