About the organisation/role

We are supporting a world leading cancer charity in their search for a Senior Stewardship and Philanthropy Communications Executive to join their successful team.

You will work closely with the Senior Stewardship and Philanthropy Communications Manager and lead on the delivery of stewardship and recognition activities.

This is a vital role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the final stages of the stewardship and recognition of their capital appeal, which is the largest capital appeal the charity has ever done.

The centre opens in early June, and the person coming in will need to be ready to get stuck in and support the delivery of the activities.

Job description

  • Assist in developing and executing a recognition framework for a new multi-million fundraising appeal.
  • Oversee all donor stewardship projects from start to finish, coming up with innovative ideas and gifts to thank our most important supporters and senior volunteers and bringing these to fruition.
  • Develop tailored stewardship plans for major donors who give up to 7 figures.
  • Liaise with hospital staff to ensure donor recognition within the hospital is suitable, consistent and installed successfully.

Person specification

  • Excellent writing and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in creating and designing external digital and print communications.
  • Experience in cultivating and stewarding donors in a client-facing role.
  • Experience with CRM data-base management preferrable using Raiser’s Edge (support provided).
