About the organisation/role
The Senior Special Events and Philanthropy Manager will have strategic responsibility for the special events portfolio (with an Events Manager and Executive to carry out the day-to-day of event planning), and personally lead most stewardship and account management activity for the charity.
Job description
The portfolio includes a number of 5, 6 and 7-figure donors, and with a brand new prospect research function, there is a healthy pipeline of new activity being developed as well. The post will also manage a committee of high-value volunteers who run the charity’s annual carol concert.
Person specification
This role would suit someone who:
- has a background in philanthropy and wants to add special events to their bow.
- is a confident communicator, able to manage a committee of senior volunteers.
- is keen to work in a supportive, nurturing environment – as such we’d be happy to hear from candidates taking a step up
