Senior Recruitment Consultant

QuarterFive Fundraising Recruitment

£35,000 - £40,000 per year + bonus (Year 1 OTE £50,000 - £65,000)

About the role

Since launching in 2013, QuarterFive has become a long-term partner to organisations ranging from grassroots charities to some of the UK’s best-known not-for-profits, attracting a loyal client and candidate base who recommend us widely. We’re primarily focused on manager-to director-level appointments, delivering much of our work as an exclusive partner and maintaining a service level clients and candidates love, with our team only working on roles they feel they’re likely to fill.

Our consultants are trusted to manage their own time, whilst our two directors focus on staff wellbeing and enabling great performance. We’re set up to collaborate to the fullest, with a focus on maintaining high standards in a culture that is collegial rather than competitive, in which we all thrive.

We are united by our commitment to teamwork, excellent service and balancing professional success with enjoying life outside work. Strong foundations are in place to support each other at every stage of the recruitment process, including three support/research colleagues and the best available CRM system.

We’re a friendly team who enjoy each other’s company, humour and conversation as much we do our professionalism and drive. We typically have team lunches once a fortnight and enjoy quarterly days out together to celebrate our shared achievements.

Why now?

We’ve never been busier. Having recently placed our 1,000th fundraiser and being consistently at capacity with excellent jobs, it’s the perfect time for a brilliant recruiter – or someone keen to become one – to work on an ever-increasing pipeline of incoming, high-quality vacancies.

Job description

You’ll primarily focus on appointing to £40,000+ fundraising roles, with the freedom to take on high-quality jobs in other functional areas as they arise. We have the research resources, systems, support and networks to maximise these opportunities. Business development is incorporated into our recruitment work. We don’t treat it as a separate activity, and you won’t do any cold sales. You’ll be responsible for taking briefs, planning and executing searches and building high-quality relationships with candidates and clients. Data capture is lean, clean and shared impeccably across the team. Consistent, personalised training and support are provided by two highly experienced directors.

Experience sought

Successful recruiters tend to be tenacious relationship builders with an eye for detail and a knack for spotting opportunities, so we care less about your professional background and more about your approach. We’re particularly interested in speaking with experienced recruiters or fundraisers looking to move into recruitment, but if you have skills and experience equivalent to those listed below then we’d love to hear from you.

Person specification

  • Consistent income generating/billing performance
  • Strong attention to detail; inquisitive and thorough
  • Planning and executing meticulous data-driven projects
  • Highly articulate, in both verbal and written forms
  • Skilled relationship builder, able to establish rapport with a wide range of people
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills
  • Disciplined, organised multi-tasker, able to meet deadlines and dynamically prioritise activity
  • Impeccable data management
