Appointed Senior Philanthropy Manager – Major Donors (9-12 month FTC)

Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK and the treatment involves a brutal daily regimen of physiotherapy and taking up to 60 tablets a day just to stay healthy. Despite these treatments, many people with CF will go on to require a double lung transplant.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust are the only UK-wide charity uniting people to stop CF. Their mission is to create a world where being born with CF no longer means a lifelong burden of care and an early death, when everyone living with the condition will be able to look forward to a long, healthy life. The Trust funds research into the causes of, and a cure for, CF; provides care, support and advice for people with the condition and their families; promotes public awareness of the causes and effects of CF; and campaigns for better healthcare and funding for cystic fibrosis services.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Philanthropy Manager to join a successful team and work alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships and line manage two philanthropy fundraisers to develop and implement an effective major donor fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for building key relationships with prospective major donors, securing 5- and 6-figure funding individually, and managing ongoing relationships with major donor sources to maximise their long-term support for the Trust.
