They are looking to diversify their voluntary income portfolio by developing major donor giving. This is an exciting role for the charity and an opportunity to create a philanthropy programme using a compelling and tangible case for support. It would suit an experienced fundraiser who is seeking a senior role that does not manage staff but works collaboratively with a small fundraising team.

Job description

As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will:

  • Report to the Head of Fundraising
  • Build on successful annual special event and develop HNWI relationships into a framework to leverage gifts
  • Create a philanthropy programme from a warm network of potential donors
  • Develop new high value giving circle products based around varied projects and propositions
  • Work with a newly created fundraising advisory board to develop new opportunities for major donor fundraising

Person specification

The role would best suit:

  • Experience in making successful 5-6 figure asks from HNWIs
  • Experience in creating and developing a philanthropy programme
  • Strengths in developing new relationships
  • Someone able to work autonomously, and happy in a small, effective fundraising team
  • Experience in Trusts and Foundations fundraising would be advantageous
