Homelessness charity | East London | Circa £44,500
As homelessness rightly becomes more in the public eye and on the political agenda, this charity is responding proactively, including by increasing fundraising. They are particularly investing in high value philanthropy and partnerships which can bring them not only significant funds, but also strategic benefits and connections.
For the first time, they are bringing someone into the team to focus solely on new business. Because of the level they are looking to hire at, this person will focus on developing strategic high-value partnerships. In the past three years, the team has grown from £2.6m to £4m, so there is huge potential here with a senior lead focusing on it.
Currently, most of the partnerships in the team are B2B-focused, involving some element of employee fundraising with additional strategic layers (job brokerage, advisory boards, policy work). More B2C would be great – they have started doing a bit of CRM – as would more strategic work. It is important to them not only to raise money, but to reach the right people.
We are looking for someone who:
- has significant new business experience
- has ideally generated six-figure partnerships
- will work at director level internally and externally
- can pitch and present with ease
- can develop new propositions and products
- will be a senior figurehead in the corporate team.
