About the charity/role
The team is responsible for mid- and high-value funders for the organisation, and has experienced growth in income from c. £800k to £1.8m in a relatively short period of time.
As Senior Major Donor Manager you will support and lead the team to successfully deliver against targets for their respective portfolios, while supporting professional growth and development.
You will be a lateral thinker, with the ability to think of new ideas about how the team can approach prospecting in order to identify new potential donors. 50% of your role will be team management, so this position is best suited to someone with previous experience of line management.
You will be responsible for a small portfolio of key funders and senior volunteers, but the focus of your position will be on growth in income and developing a principle gifts programme.
Person specification
As Senior Major Donor Manager you will:
- have previous line management experience, supporting your team to deliver against income targets
- be an experienced major donor fundraiser, able to think creatively and strategically to identify new opportunities
