Their corporate partnerships team manage relationships with the businesses who provide and carry out these programmes, including Barclays, Morgan Stanley, Virgin Media and Sodexo.

Job description

As Senior Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Secure five- and six-figure new business partnerships, selling in a broad range of ‘off the shelf’ and bespoke programmes to CSR or L&D budget holders
  • Take a leading role in developing sales practice and improving methodology, systems and processes
  • Report to the Head of Partnerships, working closely with them to identify opportunities for growth, taking a systematic approach to business development as they pivot from a product- to a solutions-based practice.
  • Line manage a Regional Partnerships Manager, supporting them to take ownership of a new business function, developing five- and six-figure funding
  • Work closely with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to ensure the smooth and timely handover of new Partner Businesses and spot opportunities to cross-sell and collaborate
  • Empower and guide the CEO, Leadership Team and Trustees to sell better into their networks
  • Work closely with the Marketing Communications team on new business campaigns, content creation and sales collateral

Person specification

As this organisation bridges the worlds of charity and business, we are keen to receive applications from those with private and/or non-profit sector backgrounds.

Ideal experience:

  • Significant new business/partnerships experience working on five- and six-figure deals in a solutions orientated sales environment (within the private and/or non-profit sector)
  • Creating and confidently delivering engaging pitches and proposals to a corporate audience
  • Management of complex client relationships involving multiple stakeholders at various levels
  • Line management experience (desirable, but not essential)
  • Experience selling within or knowledge of the Learning & Development, Recruitment or Human Resources sectors (desirable, but not essential)
