About the charity/role
As Programme Funding Manager you will work with the international team of a leading disability charity to design new programmes and secure funding support from institutional donors and commercial contracts.
With a focus on inclusion and participation the organisation already run some exciting programmes (largely in Africa and SE Asia) around education and livelihoods, elements of which can be replicated for further programme design.
This role will focus on design from scratch and securing the necessary funding, with a focus on £500,000+ bids and applications.
As Programme Funding Manager you will:
- have experience of designing programmes (with demonstrable expertise of workshops, theory of change, logframes etc)
- be experienced in working across departments and with in country teams to gather information and craft exceptional narrative
- have demonstrable experience of working with institutional funders such as DFID, USAID, NORAD, UN, SIDA etc to submit large bids and manage relationships
- ideally have some expertise of working on commercial contracts or knowledge of these types of negotiations and a desire to develop further skills in this area
