About the charity/role
The Major Donor Officer plays a vital role in raising gifts (£1,000+) from individuals as the organisation begins the first year of their new fundraising strategy. You will work closely with the Development Team to identify potential major donors from existing connections and new prospects.
As an experienced fundraiser, you will design and implement effective stewardship plans, writing compelling proposals to attract financial support.
Job specification
As Major Donor Officer you will:
- have experience in major donor fundraising, able to evidence your ability to establish and manage long-term relationships with new and existing supporters
- be astute in identifying new opportunities with expertise of prospect research
- have an ability to manage multiple priorities in order to meet targets and deadlines
- be a great communicator – able to secure financial support through a variety of channels and work collaboratively with others
