About the charity/role

This is a 2-3 month fixed term contract role focused on team leadership and institutional fundraising.

The team manage a portfolio covering UK and international institutional funders. Following a recent change to the fundraising department structure institutional fundraising now sits as a separate department and this role will be responsible for bringing the team together and rethinking ways of working.

The Head of Institutional Fundraising will have strong team and stakeholder management skills, working in a large and complex organisation. The ideal candidate will be available to start w/c 11 or 18 January following interviews at the beginning of 2021.

Person specification

As Head of Institutional Funding you will:

  • have strong institutional funding expertise and excellent team leaderships skills (team of seven)
  • be willing to be hands on as required – there are a number of key upcoming deadlines which may require senior support and delivery
  • have experience of peer review, support and coaching of a team in order to increase success and support development
  • be experienced in identifying new opportunities in order to support pipeline development and maximise new funding opportunities

Interviews will take place w/c 4 January with a view to the successful applicant starting w/c 11 or 18 January. Flexible working of 3/4 days a week will be considered.
