£37,215 (London) or £32,392 (Remote), Human Rights, 12 month FTC

As Institutional Funding Lead you will be responsible for securing funding (between five- and seven-figures) from institutional and statutory sources for the organisation’s work in the UK and worldwide.

You will lead on the grant management of existing funding, with the support of in-country teams. In addition, you will be responsible for researching and developing a portfolio of new funding opportunities for the organisation.

The team’s portfolio currently includes a $1.3m multi-year grant for a large scale project in West Africa. In support of this grant you will work collaboratively with your peers but have a large degree of autonomy – establishing internal and external relationships to gain a detailed understanding of projects and their budgets/activities to ensure the compilation of timely and accurate reports.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of securing and managing significant grants (between five- and seven-figures) from large and complex funders such as DFID, USAID, FCO, Big Lottery, Comic Relief etc.
  • Have demonstrable knowledge and expertise of the statutory and institutional funding sector.
  • Be experienced in the preparing high-quality proposals and reports, supporting the development of programmes.
  • Be a great communicator, able to establish relationships with partner organisations, in-country teams and colleagues.
