About the organisation/role
This is a phenomenal opportunity to join the wonderful team at this global girls’ charity, supporting the expansion of their global strategic programmes in areas including climate change, gender-based violence, leadership and girls in STEM, so that girls and young women around the world can access life-changing opportunities. The charity can offer local, tangible results whilst leveraging the global size and scale of impact.
The Head of Trusts and Foundations will lead the small team (2 including this role) to deliver £900k annual income (rising by approx. £100k per year), predominantly from large, global trusts and foundations.
The postholder will continue the great work that has been done since setting this team up in 2019, building on the momentum and growth being delivered currently.
Job description
- Manage relationships with key strategic funders such as AKO Foundation and the UN Women’s Fund
- Develop new avenues of funding. Europe, Asia and Australasia all have markets yet to be explored
- Lead and manage the Trusts and Foundations Officer
Person specification
- Experience in trusts and foundations fundraising in the international development space
- Knowledge of various global funding markets
- Exceptional trusts fundraiser, including exemplary relationship building and written skills
- Line management experience is desirable but not essential
