About the organisation/role
- Relatively newly created role following a restructure designed to enable growth in fundraising
- Refugee cause is very much of the zeitgeist – the work of Refugee Council has never been so crucial
- Will be joining the charity at the start of a new strategy with investment into public fundraising plus a new database has just launched, exciting times ahead
Job description
- Responsible for public fundraising, comprising of Individual Giving, Legacy, Community and Database and Compliance. Income surplus of £1.5 million
- Management of a team of 8, with 3 direct reports. Galvanise a relatively new team together and drive the function forward
- Lead on budgeting for financial year 23/24
- Upcoming GDPR project, lead and manage the workstream
Person specification
- Experienced public fundraising professional, must have individual giving experience in both acquisition and retention
- Will consider an experienced senior manager taking their first step into a head of level role
- Collaborative style and be able to develop internal stakeholder relationship

- Part time working considered 3 or 4 days a week
