Job description
- Newly created role as Head of Public Fundraising for a growing cancer charity
- Leads regular giving, cash giving, legacy, in memory, challenge events and community fundraising
- Initially responsible for £1.6 million income, this role will be critical in their 5-year strategy to increase to £5 million
- Growing regular giving and legacy income, with an investment of £250k every year to 2023
- Managing and growing the public fundraising team
- Develop and implement robust reporting, maximising the use of the Salesforce database
- Develop support journeys across public fundraising and ensure best practices in supporter care
- GDPR lead for fundraising
Person specification
- Extensive direct marketing and regular giving experience is essential
- Experience of other public fundraising incomes streams is desirable
- Knowledge of how good data practice supports increased audience awareness and income
- Experience of Salesforce is a benefit, but full training will be provided
- Open and honest management style, with experience of managing a team across multiple income streams/supporter care
- Someone who likes to test and learn and views mistakes as learning experiences
- Ambitious, and keen to put a mark on to growing but realistic public fundraising programme
- Demonstrable ability to operate flexibly and work with key peers in a small senior team is desirable
