About the charity/role

Drive and deliver the public fundraising strategy, maximising income, increasing awareness, and building strong relationships with the public.

Job specification
  • Manage and support a direct team of three and wider team of 11 covering community fundraising, events and individual giving
  • Encourage a culture of support and cross team working
  • Develop a stewardship strategy to cultivate new and support existing donors
  • Lead the team to develop new fundraising initiatives
  • Manage and report back on the income and expenditure budgets for the team, reviewing ROI and potential investment opportunities
  • Support the community fundraising team in building relationships with high value committees and groups
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a direct marketing programme
  • Liaise with the marketing team to ensure all public fundraising activities are communicated through all relevant channels
Person specification

The position would best suit someone who has:

  • strong leadership skills, can bring a team together, will support them in giving direction, taking ownership and creating a culture of high performance
  • excellent attention to detail, can analyse, evaluate and report under close scrutiny
  • credibility and proven experience in maximising opportunities to drive income generated from community, events, IG and legacies Has great attention to detail, can provide thorough reporting and take ownership of budgets and reporting
  • exceptional stakeholder relationship building skills internally and externally
  • the ability to put forward new ideas and new ways of thinking in fundraising

This charity offers core hours of 10-4pm and one day working from home.
