About the charity/role
Macmillan are looking for an experienced philanthropy fundraiser who can support the team to dramatically increase income over the next 3-5 years.
With a focus on principal gifts you will lead a team of fundraisers across HNWIs, trusts, foundations and supporter events – supporting and inspiring them to unlock new funding opportunities through pipeline development and new products.
Like many other charities, the pandemic has had a significant impact on Macmillan’s voluntary income – as such they are keen to invest in philanthropy fundraising and grow high value support as they deliver crucial support to people affected by cancer.
Person specification
As Head of Philanthropy and Supporter Events you will:
- Have experience of creating philanthropy strategies, resulting in significant income growth;
- Have expertise of leading teams to secure six- and seven-figure principal gifts from high value sources including HNWIs;
- Be a skilled leader who can motivate a multi-disciplinary team to grow and develop their own portfolios of funders to support growth;
- Have managed multi-million pound budgets and have expertise in delivering high income targets and growth.
