As Head of Income Generation & Marketing you will lead our fundraising and engagement activity, bringing a commercial mindset to the role to grow and establish sustainable income streams.
The Bromley by Bow Centre is a pioneering and vibrant community charity in East London, globally-renowned for its radical approach to health and wellbeing. At its heart is a partnership between a diverse community, a locally-rooted charitable organisation and one of the most progressive primary care health teams in the UK.
We work with the most vulnerable people in our community, those who are isolated, facing physical or mental ill health or who are lacking confidence, skills or qualifications. We deliver a diverse range of projects based on a unique model that combines social entrepreneurship, the arts, learning, social support, horticulture and holistic and integrated health programmes.
We have seen increases in demand for our services since the pandemic and this will only increase with the cost of living crisis.
Income generation and marketing is key to us being able to deliver our services to those who need us. We’re seeking a commercially minded and creative Head of Income Generation and Marketing who can lead us to identify new income streams and funding opportunities.
This a new role for the organisation, playing an integral part within senior leadership. You will have strategic responsibility for the development team, remaining hands on with an active role in fundraising and engagement activity.
We are looking for someone who will bring a commercial mindset to the role – continuing to develop traditional income streams (incl. trusts, statutory and philanthropy) but thinking creatively about new ideas and opportunities to establish partnerships/alternative sources of funding.
The role currently manages a team of 5 – as Head of Income Generation and Marketing you will ensure there is an integrated approach across these areas, maximising opportunities for engagement and support across broad audiences.
As a member of the senior leadership team you will play a key role in continuing to develop both the strategic direction and internal culture of the organisation, specifically driving forward our commitment to being a truly antiracist and inclusive organisation.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 4 October (CV and cover letter).
Interview Schedule:
1st interviews – w/c 10 October (virtually)
Final interviews – w/c 17 October (face to face at Bromley by Bow Centre)
