About the charity:

The Royal Parks manages over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London, as well as other public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. The eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

The Royal Parks is looking for an experienced, proactive and engaging Grants Manager to join its fundraising team. This role reflects their ambition to drive more value from opportunities with national funding bodies, trusts and foundations.

You will work closely with the Head of Fundraising, the Director of Communications, Marketing and Engagement and the Director of Finance, as well as other programme leads. You will liaise across different teams to design, develop and write high quality proposals to generate income that can fund the work of the Royal Parks capital projects and programmes in Heritage, Wellbeing, Nature and more.

Role headlines:
  • A new position that brings trusts, foundations and institutional funding together under one role that will shape and develop these cohesively
  • Responsible for a varied portfolio of funders giving between 5 and 7-figures, and several appeal projects
  • Stewardship of funders, building relationships and seeking opportunities to apply for additional funds
  • Opportunity to develop larger portfolio of unrestricted smaller gifts
  • Develop systems and processes to better enable applications and reporting
Experience sought
  • Experienced grants fundraiser with proven success in securing 5-7 figure gifts from trusts and/or institutional funders
  • Ability to develop successful relationships with funders and senior internal stakeholders across departments
  • Confident presenting ideas and proposals, externally and internally 
  • Self-starter with a keen eye for detail
  • Comfortable working across a diverse portfolio and prioritising workload

Office location in Hyde Park with hybrid work from home.
