Shortlisting Funder Relations Manager

Clean Air Fund

Clean Air Fund is a global philanthropic organisation that brings together and supports governments, campaigners, researchers, funders and businesses to create a world where everyone breathes clean air.

Their ambitious Clean Air for All strategy (2023-2026) aims to:

  • Galvanise global leaders to agree significant action on air pollution
  • Drive significant progress on reducing air pollution in at least 8 countries and 55 cities, through ambitious laws and policies
  • Encourage at least 75 multinational companies to commit to ambitious plans to reduce their air pollution footprints
  • Catalyse a total of $250 million in funds for air quality programming

We are partnering with Clean Air Fund in their search for a Funder Relations Manager to join their team for a maternity cover. The current postholder leaves on 20th December. We’re ideally seeking someone to start in December, or January at the latest.

About the role

The Funder Relations Manager holds a critical role in the Fundraising team, leading relationship management with institutional funders to ensure the best possible donor experience, while also supporting key governance activities for Clean Air Fund’s Board and Grants and Charitable Activities Committee.

This role is also responsible for the implementation of Clean Air Fund’s donor engagement strategy that supports high-value institutional and programme grants and implementing donor relationship knowledge-sharing systems and processes across the organisation.

The Clean Air Fund’s fundraising strategy is supported by key relationships with major core funders who also hold positions on committees, making these relationships vital. The role acts as an intermediary between the Clean Air Fund and its donors, managing significant funding streams from major funders like Ikea Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, CIFF, Oak Foundation, FIA, and Quadrature.
