About the organisation
The DofE raise funds to help young people build lifelong belief in themselves, supporting them to take on their own challenges, follow their passions, and discover talents they never knew they had.
The fundraising team raises £5m+ per year from Major Gifts, Corporate Partnerships and Events. It creates long-lasting relationships and delivers memorable experiences, excellent stewardship, and robust, impactful partnerships.
The team is a vital part of the charity and will be pivotal in providing funds to fuel its strategy. The charity is in its second year of a 5-year strategy which will deliver funds of £25m+ to ensure the charity continues to deliver on its purpose.
The DofE has been around for 56 years, and our platinum jubilee is coming up in 2026. It will be a big opportunity for fundraising teams to work towards.
These roles are an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for youth to join during a period of ambitious growth; to make their mark, develop new ways of working and develop new strategies in their area.
About the Corporate team
A brand new team has been created comprising of a Head of Corporate Partnerships, Senior Lead – New Business, Senior Lead – Partnership Management, and 2 x Senior Managers.
Three of these roles are currently vacant – the two Senior Managers and Head.
The corporate income that is being targeted this year is £1.5m. There are growth plans which are part of these new roles being introduced.
Currently the most-used product, DofE Business, sees companies make a donation and pay a fee per member of staff that completes a version of DofE gold.
It’s used as an HR tool rather than a CSR philanthropic gift. This has been a useful way into corporates, but some work, such as the partnership with Heathrow, has been more strategic. There is an appetite to do more of this.
Currently there are four levels of supporter:
– Supporting partner £25k
– Silver partner £50k
– Gold partner £100k
– Strategic partner £200k
There is also a wide array of events at our fingertips, including royal receptions.
