78% of cancer patients in the UK report having unmet emotional needs. Cancer Support UK believes this is unacceptable, as emotional or psychological support for people with cancer is essential to recovery and can dramatically affect a person’s quality of life.

CSUK provides practical and emotional support to people living with cancer, during and after the treatment period. The charity offers telephone support groups and cancer kits that include a range of practical items for adults and children affected by the disease.

To capitalise on CSUK’s many warm relationships – as well as on a recently enhanced and powerful case for support, the networks of the CEO and the connections of their new Chair – they are looking for a Trusts Manager to develop and implement a trust fundraising strategy.

This exciting role has the feel of a start-up, but one with many of the key pieces already in place. The charity would like a focused and effective fundraiser to help continue the development of exciting big recent relationships (like the Big Lottery Fund), while also leading on the most effective approach with low- and mid-level funders who are interested in a nimble and focused charity such as this.
